Effective June 1, 2026
Arthur is a phone companion for older adults. We built it to be useful and trustworthy, which means being plain about what we collect, why, and who can see it. This page explains that in straightforward terms.
Arthur is operated by Arthur Studios ("Arthur," "we," "us"). Arthur reaches people by phone call and text message. There is no app to install and no device to set up. If you have a question about anything here, contact us at danmitzner@tryarthur.ai.
When someone enrolls, they agree to receive calls and text messages from Arthur at the number provided, including check-in calls, reminders, and conversation. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or stop calls by saying "stop" on a call or contacting us. We do not share phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only in these situations:
If the account is set up to include family members or caregivers, the people the account holder authorizes can see conversation summaries, activity insights, and alerts. Access is controlled at the account level.
Arthur runs on trusted providers that process information on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing their service to us. These include the companies that handle phone and text delivery, convert speech to text, generate Arthur's responses, produce Arthur's voice, and store and host data securely. They are not permitted to use the information for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if required by law, or if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to protect the safety of a person using Arthur or others.
We keep account information for as long as the account is active. Call recordings, transcripts, and conversation notes are kept so Arthur can stay personalized and so families can review history. You can ask us to delete this information at any time (see below).
To make any of these requests, contact privacy@arthur.example. We will verify the request with the account holder before acting on it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the trust of older adults and their families seriously and design with that responsibility in mind.
Arthur is intended for adults. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy as Arthur grows. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders.
Questions about privacy, or a request to access or delete information, can be sent to danmitzner@tryarthur.ai.
